Summer Camp 2024 Info! - Camp Starts on Monday

Parents,

We look forward to hosting your child at soccer camp this next week (July 22-26) at Kennedy Park (5807 Alderson Street, Weston, WI 54476). Here are a couple reminders for the week. Camp will run from 8am - 4pm for full day campers and 1 - 4pm for the half day campers. Full day campers will need to bring a lunch to eat at 11 AM. We will be eating under the shelter at Kennedy Park. At 11:30, we will walk as a group over to the Weston Aquatic Center. If your child wants to swim, they will need to bring a swimsuit and towel. Swimming will take place from 11:30-12:35 and then we will walk back for the afternoon session. With younger campers, our coaches can help reapply sunscreen if you want to leave some in their bag. Any special requests just let your child’s coach know Monday morning. With nearly 180 camp participants, parking will be an issue for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. You may need to drop-off and pick-up your child/children along Neupert Ave, Alderson Ave, and within the Weston Aquatic Center’s parking lot. Please make a plan with your child/children letting them know where they should go for pick-up. Below is an overview map for your reference:

Other things to bring:

  • Water bottle – temperature currently looks to be between 73-81 degrees next week. We will be providing plenty of water and taking breaks in the shade.
  1. Soccer cleats/shin guards
  2. Soccer Ball - campers are encouraged to bring their own ball with their name on it but if they don't have one, we will provide one.

In the event of approaching thunderstorms, we would send a text message to you and let you know that we are going to be walking over to the D.C. Everest Senior High or the new GTCC facility to resume camp indoors. Once there, we will do indoor activities with the kids until the weather has improved. If it’s only rain, we would continue to play or wait it out under the shelter at Kennedy Park. Again, we will keep you posted via group text messaging using Remind texting service for weather and any last-minute updates. In order to get those texts, you need to send a text to 81010 with @24dcecamp in the message, like shown below:

For questions throughout the week, you can also text Lucas at 715-551-7937

Looking forward to next week! ⚽
